Position Summary (Job Description):
Through collaborative planning with the customer the Clinical Applications Consultant is responsible for developing and delivering focused change management, training and education services. An assessment of training needs, workflow and change management is typically required and in some cases benchmarking of productivity measures may be needed. Training Plans and training tools are customized to match the needs assessment and training is then delivered in the customers’ clinical environment (radiology department, intensive care unit, accident and emergency etc…) over a period of 3-10 days. The Clinical Applications Consultants also provides feedback on system performance to Company’s Implementation team and supports the Customer Care team when resolving application specific issues.
Job Requirements:
· Evaluate imaging workflow and provide recommendations on changes related to HCIS systems implementation to maximize efficiency of systems within the clinical environment. This advice is to be provided in both presales and implementation environment as requested.
· Advise Company’s clients in change management endeavors related to HCIS solutions implementation. Encourage customers to plan and implement a change management policy and practice within the scope of the project.
· Develop training programs and train end users, key users and clinical administrators on how to use the Company’s HCIS solution installed in accordance with the training plan developed in consultation with the customer
· Encourage the customer to undertake training needs assessment with their staff & assist them to develop and provide formal training sessions on site to the end users utilizing “Train the Trainer” methodologies.
· Maintain training documentation including skills assessments, competency checklists, course completion certificates and training delivery summary reports.
· Work with customers, modality vendors and Company’s implementation teams to ensure that clinical readiness is achieved prior to system Go Live. This includes a full workflow assessment test prior to the day of Go Live.
· Assist end users and PACS administrators with system & user configurations to optimize the entire imaging chain including image quality & workflow in both pre and post go live environment
· On request provide support to the Customer Care team to troubleshoot relevant application & system issues as they arise during and after implementation.
· Document, communicate and own clinical applications issues and escalations through to resolution.
· Participate as an active project team member providing clear and actionable feedback to the project manager, including reporting all site activities, providing advice to any member of the project teams (Company’s and/or customer), participating in user acceptance testing as requested by the PM & providing clinical readiness assessment on behalf of Company’s.
· Provide ongoing voice of customer feedback to R&D, product development and management teams.
· Document all work as requested to support customer satisfaction, internal policy compliance, SPD feed & Project cost tracking
· Support the Company’s team in your cluster and across APAC to achieve HCIS AOP and any other financial goals set by Company’s
· Travel is required throughout Cluster & APAC as requested (up to 85%).
- International travel (up to 15%) may be required for purposes of product training.
- Maintain professional qualifications, product and industry knowledge by participating in training activities as directed including self guided learning and professional development.
Education/Certification:
- Radiology Technologist’s Certification
- Bachelor’s degree and/or diploma in Health Sciences, Information Technology, or Education
- Alternatively 3years experience as a PACS/RIS/HIS administrator in a clinical environment
Experience:
· A working knowledge administering a PACS, RIS or other clinical information system.
- A minimum of (5) years or more of medical electronic imaging experience including CT, MR, US, NM and standard X-Ray. Additional experience in both Mammo and Othro preferred.
- At least 6 months experience as a trainer or educator to individuals and groups, or other relevant experience.
- Experience working in a medical environment where the candidate is exposed to clinical workflow and has gained an understanding of clinical terminology and processes.
- Strong presentation/demonstration/teaching skills.
