Area Sales Support Manager

 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

Responsible for developing and maintaining the Rock Tools Business in the assigned market areas within the framework of Company policy, procedures and practices. 

.

*           Develop and Support the area distributors for Rock Tools business

*           Develop close relationships with key personnel in the assigned accounts.

*           Provide budgets, forecasts and plans as directed.

*           Understands the market and all significant end users in the market area assigned.  Continually analyzes and evaluates sales development and the market development within the assigned territory to insure that maximum volume is obtained. Continuously collect and report market information such as Price levels /Opportunities /Problems /Market potential in the territory asigned /Competitive activities etc.

*           Provides a high degree of technical support in the field by assisting customers with proper product selections and in troubleshooting field problems.

*           Coordinates the introduction of new products within territory and is responsible for meeting sales goals on new product introductions.  Reports on the acceptance of new product introductions and provides details for case studies..

*           Supervise and coordinate/conduct customer tests of Rock Tools products, document results and write final reports.

 

 

SKILLS /ABILITIES  

*           Knows selling strategies and sales features,  Knows installation, operation and maintenance of products, Knows troubleshooting, resolving field problems and complaints

*           Technical experience in the Rock Tools or related  products

*           Rock Tools or related Application specialization

*           Educating and Motivating, with good communication skills.

*           Market Knowledge: Knows market demand (units & $) by market segment, has profile on all significant end users, knows market shares, knows competition, knows market price levels.

*           Planning (pro-acts rather than reacts), develops a plan for territory, Involved in annual budgeting processes, Focuses on increasing the business
