? Ensure effective cross-functional teamwork among project team membersincluding both internal and external ancillary services. Serve as key clientcontact for assigned projects and escalation point for project issues. Incollaboration with relevant departments, prepare and deliver presentations fornew business as required.
? Lead implementation of Six Sigma initiatives on projects as applicable.
? Monitor project schedule and scope to ensure both remain on track. Initiateand implement appropriate actions.
? Proactively engage in both quality assurance and risk management activitiesto ensure project deliverables are met according to both Covance and clientrequirements.
? Initiate improvements to enhance the efficiency and the quality of the workperformed on assigned projects.
? Accountable for budget across assigned project(s) including the control andminimizing of write-offs. Proactively identify out of scope activities andensure necessary change orders are executed.
? Meet resource management and utilization targets for assigned staff, meetfinancial performance targets for the assigned projects and proactivelyparticipate in change control process both internally and externally.
? Ensure that all staff allocated to assigned project(s) adheres toprofessional standards and SOPs. Provide performance feedback of team membersto respective supervisors.
? Define and manage project resource needs and establish succession plans forkey resources.
? Create required project plans. Implement and monitor progress against projectplans and revise as necessary. Responsible for appropriate issue escalation toCAIR program and/or appropriate stakeholders.
? Establish working relationships with client project teams which result inclient satisfaction, operational excellence and thereby increase potential forrepeat business.
? Prepare and actively participate as operational lead in internal projectreview meetings. Depending on size and scope of project, this job duty may beperformed in collaboration with a Project Director.
? May have line management responsibilities for the training, utilization,development and performance review of assigned staff.
? Ensure lessons learned are implemented across projects currently beingmanaged.
? Perform other duties as assigned by management.
? University/college degree (life science preferred) or certification in arelated allied health profession from an appropriately accredited institution(e.g., nursing certification, medical or laboratory technology).
? Minimum of seven (7) years relevant clinical research experience in apharmaceutical company/CRO, including at least two (2) years of full projectmanagement responsibility, especially in the study start-up phase.
? In lieu of the above requirement, candidates with ＞ five (5) years supervisory experience in aheath care setting and ＞ five (5) years clinical research experience including two (2) years ofproject management experience (international clinical trial managementexperience preferred with solid knowledge of study start up) in thepharmaceutical or CRO industries will be considered.
? Thorough knowledge of project management processes, time and cost estimatedevelopment, ICH Guidelines and GCP including international regulatoryrequirements for the conduct of clinical development programs
? Fluent in local office language and in English, both written and verbal
? Masters or advanced degree.
? Experience in managing global projects with moderate financial value.
